The Imitation Game is a MUST SEE!! A look at the life of one man during WWII...

Review by Cassidy Hill

Raise your hand if you'd like to watch yet another movie about one of the many wars our world has been in. Yeah, me either. Except, this one was different. Yeah, it's about World War II and Nazi Germany-- but from a whole different perspective. A brilliant one. And one that absolutely needs to be shared with the world.

Enter Britt Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch). A genius mathematician and cryptanalyst like no other-- with a painfully awkward personality to match. You journey with him through his own sort of internal war, both with his sexuality and to prove his genius. Beautifully directed by Morten Tyldum and so poignantly executed by Cumberbatch, almost every character has the chance to be fully developed, and you are left feeling every emotion Mr. Turing experiences during his short life. It is not until after you are in the car on the way home that you realize you just got schooled-- on what really happened during WWII, who is responsible for all of the smart gadgets we cannot live without, and how you really feel about human nature and compassion. And, if you're anything like me, it will leave you questioning your government and every single decision and major event in recent history. Ultimately, The Imitation Game is a must-see.
